What I learned
This was one of my first experiences collaborating with other producers/production managers. Every PM has their own way of tackling a project and Lucia and JJ have a wealth of experience, so divide and conquer was a great way for us to collaborate.
A remote actor’s holding, a PO tent, and numerous transpo vans, day 2 of the shoot was a parade with 30+ extras marching down a cemetery, which as you can imagine took a village to manage. My biggest takeaway was that preparation is key, and no matter what you do, something will fail, but a good producer has a plan “B” AND “C”.
