Born in Michigan, raised in Dominican Republic, schooled in Canada, made in Chicago.
Growing up, we were not allowed to be picky eaters. My dad insisted we go to every cultural festival in the Windsor-Detroit area and learn about all kinds of music, food, and dance he could get us in front of. His curiosity inspires me as a filmmaker to continue to explore our cultural mosaic.
I’ve worked jobs ranging in event management, marketing, politics, retail, and even handed out yogurt brochures (believe me I got asked many times: Where are the samples?), and each one of those has taught me lessons I bring into every project. Lesson number one: Contracts make friends.
